What a crazy year 2020 has been! Pandemics, shut downs, Zoom meetings, working from home, protests, and a contentious election. It has all been so much to handle. I feel you. I am right there with you and running a private practice, while being a wife and mom.
I also understand that while you were balancing it all, your child's communication may have taken a back seat and that's completely understandable. As you settle into this new normal of masks and what feels like a ridiculous amount of hand cleaning, I want to remind you that we are here to help you navigate this difficult time AND support your child's communication.
As an adult, being able to communicate with one another throughout all of this has been a lifeline for our relationships and our mental health, so a child's ability to communicate has never been more important. While we were/are trying to manage it all, they were/are right there trying to make sense of it all, perhaps unable to tell you how they're feeling about all of it. Maybe you've seen tantrums increase and maybe you've felt exhausted trying to figure out what your little one is trying to tell you.
I get it and I'm here to help. We're all in this together.
